Private posts (example for a staff report or application)

What I would like, is the ability for a category where anyone can create a post, but only certain groups and the user that made the post are able to view the post and its replies. Example, if someone submits a staff application in that section, the user should only see their application, and staff members with authority to view staff applications should be able to see all threads in that section. Is this possible with flarum?

This idea crossed my mind several times in the past too, but I haven't found the time to add something like that.

@JasperVriends considered adding this to byobu but pivoted into making something else that could suit your needs.

Prosperous I know this, and I respect that. I also didn't know if the reply before had mentioned him, also I didn't know that leaving the page open auto-updates to show a new post, since I saw your message appear in the background, pretty cool actually.

SlickNicky10 it could still be added to Byobu, that would be the easiest move. Jasper is working on a ticketing/support extension, which eventually includes a knowledge center.

luceos Sounds pretty cool! I'm just unclear by what you mean that it could be added to Byobu. Does it currently exist, and can be enabled by a user, or that he can just add it in an update

Digital It seems that the purpose of Byobu is for the creator of the thread to be able to choose who sees their post. What I am looking for is something that enables the ability to force a post under a specific tag/category to be only visible to the person making the post, and members of certain groups (such as an Admin). Is this planned for Byobu, or will I need another method of making this happen, or be unable to do it on Flarum altogether?
