@IanM in version 0.3.0 (on beta-15) my members are getting:

You do not have permission to do that

... when trying to block users. It works fine for admins, but not users.

No longer show the 'Block User' button if the user cannot be blocked
Fix fof/byobu integration to prevent the blocked user from adding you to a private discussion

Note

The fof/byobu private message prevention offered by this extension is not fully fixed, pending some more fixes in byobu itself.
