Ugrading when using remote freeflarum.com hosting.

Hello,

I have created my forum with https://www.freeflarum.com. In the admin configuration, there is written, that my forum is on version "beta-7". But when I browsed this forum, I see that there are already higher and more recent versions of the software. I am NOT hosting it on my own.

My question:
Is there any way I can upgrade my forum hosted by FreeFlarum to higher version? If yes, tell me more.

No, you can't, unfortunately.

Ah, I see the copyright is from year 2018 too 🤔.

Will it be updated any time soon or should I host it on my own instead?

If you want a newer version than Beta 7, yes.

FreeFlarum.com has been a great resource for a while, but it seems that the owner has not had the time or energy to update it to the latest releases. I know they're aware of the need for it, and I hope they will perform the update, but until then it will be necessary to use your own host if you want the latest release.

I'll mark this as solved purely due to this being out of our hands. The owner will be the best one to address anything moving forward.
