I must say, that after over a month of using this extension, I've not been able to see any clear difference between having it enabled, or disabled. I am using nginx, and even if I disable this and rely solely on Redis, I'm not seeing any noticeable difference.
In fact, I've run some tests via Pingdom and GTMetrix, and I'm getting the same times with or without the extension enabled and configured. I find this odd, as I'm not getting anywhere near the times quoted in the original post :-(
