Awesome work!
NickName Changer
Dem13n By default nickname validation is for Cyrillic and Latin
Does this mean it wont work for english?
theportablegeek
no, it will
theportablegeek English is based on Latin characters. If you go to Google webfonts you'll note that the character sets are "Latin" and "Cyrillic" there is no such thing as "English" characters.
tankerkiller125 yet another thing I love about this forum: learning something new!!!

Hi,
Can I add new users by this extension or it's making second username allowed to change?
Dem13n It's not planned to add the UI, but the functionality itself was added to Flarum for Beta 8. It seems like your extensions adds a new user attribute, but you're free to use Flarum's built-in attribute on the user's table and the utilities written for it.
jordanjay29 When I first started doing this extension, I wanted to, but I had some problems (now I don’t remember which ones) so I did it this way
Dem13n We're very willing to help resolve programming issues with Flarum via the Dev tag.

jordanjay29 Using the Single Sign On extension with Wordpress, users cannot change their display names. Otherwise they will be no longer able to login to the forum (even changing it on the Wordpress side)
With this Nickname ext it's possible for each user to change his forum's dispaly name, keeping the username unchanged and not having login problems.
robinodds The link I gave above is to a PR which adds a display name attribute to the user table, which functions exactly like the nickname attribute that this extension adds. It's just a matter of naming, and one being part of the Flarum core API while the other being custom. There's nothing wrong with either approach here, nor is this a bad extension for offering this capability, I was simply advising the extension's author on an existing part of Flarum and its plans for it so they can plan for the future of this extension as desired.
The overall concept of the nickname/display name is made exactly for that scenario, or for users who desire UTF-8 characters in their name, which aren't supported by Flarum at this time. So I'm happy to see this extension continue.

Уважаемый автор! Предусмотрите, пожалуйста, возможность изменять регулярное выражение, которым проверяется nickname при сохранении.
Please, provide an ability to change nickname validation Regex. In case if I need to use "." in nickname now I've to edit composer package. Which is not good.
CuamckuyKot Please use English on our non-Language tags as per our Community Guidelines.
Good job.
I cannot change/save settings. Version 0.1.9
