Flarum 0.1.0-beta.10 Released

This is an awesome release! And thank you to the team for being so kind and working with me on my admittedly not so great first pull request to get them merged. I anticipate I'm going to continue to make more as time goes on.

Ralkage Step 1: Ensure you are on version 0.1.0-beta.9 in your Admin Dashboard or by running php flarum info (use the previous release notes for upgrading from an earlier version)
Step 2: Disable all 3rd party extensions.
Step 3: Run the following commands:

composer update --prefer-dist --no-dev -o --with-all-dependencies
php flarum migrate
php flarum cache:clear
Step 4: Use your newly-upgraded Flarum site!
Step 5: $$$ PROFIT! $$$

Just did an upgrade, and everything seems to be fine. But I recommend to do what they wrote in the instruction - disable all third party extensions before upgrade, even if using only FoF extensions. I had problem, that just after the upgrade I get an error:
Fatal error: Uncaught Flarum\Http\Exception\RouteNotFoundException
while trying to access main page. After I disabled and enabled all 3rd party extensions, problem had gone🙂

Staszek Yeah, if it says to do so then you need to do so. When I was a kid, I was at an indoor trampoline park, and they had this rule where you could not run on the slackline. Well little me thought I would be cool if I ran on it, and so I did, I guess we all know what happened.

jordanjay29 We probably should upgrade to version 2 though? Since version 1 will no longer receive security updates at some point.

tankerkiller125 this is based on the laravel version we use. I guess an update to 6 LTS before stable makes sense.

When can we expect the first stable version? Can we have it with minimum features but stable so that we can use it in production.

pankaj15 the part that's considered "not stable" is the extension API because it's still evolving. Flarum itself is already used fine in production by many people and companies. For now, the fewer third-party extensions you use, the easier it will be to update (because you won't have to wait for those to update). If you only stick to core extensions (those that come bundled with Flarum), you can pretty much consider Flarum stable as we will continue to provide update instructions all the way to the official stable release 😉

Thank you Flarum devs and extension devs for continuing to put so much work into Flarum largely for free or completely for free. I had a hiccup on attempt one, but ultimately upgraded two Flarum installations successfully.

I also got a new larger iPhone... it’s so beautiful. It’s like seeing Flarum for the first time all over again.

Extensions that are not under the flarum/ vendor are not official extensions, so this would not be the right place to ask if extension X is compatible with the latest release.

On that note, we at Friends of Flarum want to "guarantee well maintained, free extensions", so we'll update extensions for beta 10 support where necessary.

Forum upgraded and working!

Good job guys, seems that this piece of software advance slowly, but advance. The bad side is that i still have the same issues since Beta 7, when i started the forum on May 2017.

Is my forum one of the oldest Flarum installs that remains active. Who knows... the good part is that the forum remains active and growing slowly also, which is nice.
