[deleted] yep, 0.7.0 requires b15 and up. As you say, specifying 0.6.1 is the way to install on b14 🙂

Tip: by using composer require fof/nightmode:"*", you'll always get the latest version that the constraints allow for, thus making upgrading core easier, when the time comes

peopleinside set the mode to automatic in the extension settings. If a guest visits the forum when dark mode is enabled on their device, they will then be presented with dark mode

IanM thanks but this is not solving on Windows.
I mean I as other users never switch Windows in dark mode so is missing a button that give to the user the psosibility to switch.

I found now there is a request on GitHub, I added to that.

Not that I know of.

Unfortunately, the Night Mode extension works with separate style sheets for each mode instead of adding a class to the body element and having the styles for both modes in the same file. The latter approach would make it easy to customize for both modes including having different logos for each mode.

I noticed that with chrome in mobile mode, night mode doesn't work properly.
If set as a desktop mode user agent then everything is fine. I think it is a bug.

yardimlazim You could override the dark mode styling with that of light mode, but only target the @media query for that particular screen size. Whilst this is perfectly feasible, it sounds like a lot of effort for what should be a user preference anyway ?

yardimlazim Yes, but that's a compressed (minifed) version of the CSS, and likely to be unreadable unless you unminify it. Also, it will not be complete if you use extensions that do not have their own entries. You'd need to extract the mobile only @media queries and associated CSS from that file.

This is not a small task by the way and not to be underestimated in terms of the time it's going to take.

yardimlazim I don't think that will work with fof/darkmode if you intend to incorporate that extension. If would probably work if you didn't want to use that extension, but I'm not sure that the PHP is going to be executed.

yardimlazim Yes, because you need to choose the colour scheme you want, and then set other colours to match it. It's not a simple task as I mentioned.
