I would like to suggest something for nexts updates:

Feature: USERS can choose between 'normal view' or 'summarie view' on their own settings profile.
(instead the admin/webmaster/administrator of the site)

I installed the extension ,enabled it but I'm not seeing any changes to my discussions page .It still the same 😟

AnoopSharma No, I haven't looked into that. It seems that I promised to do so for Beta 8, so I will, but the initial version did this by way of a bug in Flarum, so I'd have to reverse that on purpose.

I'll consider it, but I also like how simple this extension is, so I'm not sure if it will wind up happening. Which also provides an answer for neogeo as well. I'd like this extension to remain really simple, but I'm not at all opposed to someone forking or submitting a PR to add in features they'd like to see if I decide not to pursue them.

I think there is a bug but it could be my bad setup too.

The steps: installed this extension, enabled it in admin, enabled debug true in config.php, then tried clicking all discussions and "Oops! Something went wrong" poped out.

Can somebody using this extension check and confirm this?

AnoopSharma Make sure you set the description length higher than 0, and hard refresh (CTRL+F5) the All Discussions page. Clear the Cloudflare cache if you use it.

I did test on Beta 8 before I released, it does work.

I got it .When i used composer update jordanjay29/flarum-ext-summaries. It print out the following
Loading composer repositories with package information
Updating dependencies (including require-dev)
Nothing to install or update
Generating autoload files
Then i removed the extension and re-installed it . Now it works

Help needed
Say if i want to show the image .As summary shows the excerpts from the first discussion post. If there is an image with that post and i want to show it . then do you have any idea for how to go for it .I really wanna try it out so if you have any suggestion can you tell me Sir! 😀

I tried the forum in mobile view but not getting the summary extension effect there.Its the same as before 😟

You know when put the mouse hover a tag, and sudently is showed a box with their description?
Maybe this extension could do the same too.

Configuration:

Option 1: Text bellow titles
Option 2: Text on 'Box' when mouse is hover titles (like tags)

Updating to a newer version that jumps stability (major, minor) is best done using composer require instead of composer update, the last one only updates based on the set constraint which disallows the jump between stability.

For me at least, the latest version of this extension causes errors if you try going to the Following page, or any tag page. I’ll see the red oops something went wrong error and/or it will tell me no discussions are there even though I know there are discussions. I hope this makes enough sense to troubleshoot.

Yes it's happening to me also. Whenever I add my custom tag to any discussion . It's there for a while in the main discussion panel but after certain refresh interval it vanishes and when I try to go into that made custom made tag page it shows a oops something went wrong error and there is no discussion present in that tag page
