Change public path in url

luceos I can't understand how to use this .
Means i want to know steps of adding custom domain from starting in my flarum.
How i can add custom domain to my Flarum hosted in my shared hosting??

Exgossi can you describe the issue you are facing ?

The PHP trick shown above is only needed for very rare cases. On most hosting, you just need to set your hostname as text in config.php. After installation, the value should already been set to the url you used during installation.

Can you share your forum url and the value you have in config.php for the url ?

clarkwinkelmann actually my problem is that i want to run my community in this form( means it should display url in this form ) community.example.com
but when i run my community it display link like this community.example.com/public

You will need to change the public path, see https://flarum.org/docs/install.html#customizing-paths

luceos thanks it work for me , actually i have one more doubt that when my flarum is running in https it shows error when i signup" Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again."

Exgossi make sure the url in config.php includes https://.

If that doesn't solve it please get the full error message from the logs for us.
