ron_jeremy It does sound like a good idea to have that info in the admin panel ... I suspect this will be covered when the Marketplace arrives. (If you haven't heard of the Marketplace yet, it's the working title for the UI that will allow admins to browse and install extensions from the comfort of their control panel.)
There will have to be some sort of standard format for information to be displayed in the Marketplace; I'd imagine some of that same information could also be used to explain extensions that are already installed.
ron_jeremy I ... am still unsure what the 'Approval' extension is.
I believe that one provides the underpinnings needed to hold posts for moderator approval ... if I'm not mistaken, it's mainly there to support the Akismet extension at present, but it can also be used in situations (for example) where an admin wants to automatically hold all posts by new users for moderator approval.
