@clarkwinkelmann fof/Share Social doesn't seem to be triggered when viewing posts created by WordPress. Works fine on posts created directly in Flarum.

Can you have a look please ?

@clarkwinkelmann if it's possible sometime in the future, it would be great if we can choose different Flarum tags for different WP categories.

Now we can choose to place topics from all WP categories only in one tag. For example, with my proposal, we will be able to place comments from category "news" to Flarum tag ID 1 and place comments from the category "blog" to tag ID 2.

Also, we should be able to do the same with other post types.

clarkwinkelmann I'll see what I can do. The fixed height and the current iframe layout is a compromise to get everything working. I tried making the height flexible, but Flarum wouldn't play nice with it and the Composer would end up out of screen.

Do you think you'll be able do that? 🤞

Ideally I'd want to create an extension that reverses the flow of the discussion and places the composer at the top. Then the Wordpress extension could use that, either globally or just in the iframe.

I have not yet tested how feasible it is, and whether to make it premium as well or open-source.

clarkwinkelmann I think it's possible to show the composer at the top (at least in the comments section) with CSS (with position attribution and other manipulation). But can you just make it visible (like it is when you click "Reply") by default? If you can send the JavaScript function to do that I'll see if I can place it at the top with CSS - that will be a good solution for now (until an extension is available).

beta 12 is the first Flarum update since the release of the Wordpress extension. I will be testing the extension with beta 12 in the next few days to ensure compatibility. I'll then tag a new release that marks it as compatible.

The extension is using a very restrictive Composer constraint, so you won't be able to update to beta 12 if you have the extension installed until I tag that new version. Thanks for your patience.

As beta 12 isn't a security update, I wouldn't recommend updating right away anyway. It's best to wait until all the main extensions have been properly tested and/or updated.

Has anyone had trouble getting this to show up in Bazaar after they've subscribed via Flagrow?

I subscribed yesterday and have waited 24 hours just in case things needed to process through, but I can't get it to show up.

Kennon1st sorry about that. You won't be able to install the extension on beta 12 for now.

If you can wait until I tag the new release it'll be the easiest. This should be done by the start of next week.

Flarum beta 12 compatibility

You can update the Flarum extension via Bazaar or Composer.
Works with any version of the Wordpress plugin.

I have tested all features on beta 12 and confirmed they work. No change was necessary in the extension. This update does not change any code, just marks beta 12 as compatible.

The next release will beta beta 12+ only. Bugfixes will be backported only on special request.

Let me know if you notice any issue !

Kennon1st can you copy the logs from <flarum>/storage/logs and send them to me ? We can move this discussion to email or Discord if you prefer.

Just looking at the content of your posts, you might be using two different urls (Wordpress at www subdomain, Flarum at bare domain). This counts as different domains and won't work unless you configure the cookie options. The solution might be to just configure the two apps to use the same canonical domain. Either www or no-www, but not mixed.

You should also configure Flarum properly without a public folder in the url before installing extensions. You'll need a folder alias or use the "customizing paths" instructions of the Flarum installation page.

Not at this time. But if that's your only option and you're okay to pay for one year as a one time payment, I could give you direct access to the private package.

When Extiverse replaces flagrow.io, hopefully later this year, this might be a feature. But I have no control over that.

Ok, now that I'm able to install, I'm trying to get it sync'd up with my Wordpress. I've tried to check and double check the instructions to make sure I'm not missing anything, but I've got a couple things that aren't working correctly, and wonder if anyone knows any usual suspects that might cause this type of thing.

I've tried logging in to my forum at https://agot.cards/flarum/public with a Wordpress login now that the SSO button does show. I get the proper Wordpress login page when I click it, but don't get redirected back to the forum or anything afterward. I just go back to the sign in page. Looking at the user list in Flarum seems to show that the user I tried to sign in as was indeed created on the Flarum side, but I don't appear to ever actually log in.
1. I've published one article to test out the comments integration at https://www.agot.cards/2020/03/11/the-third-step-the-election/ . I see the comments iframe at the bottom, but it's empty. When I check out the forum tag that I set up for article posts, I don't see anything under that tag, but if I check out "All Discussions" I can see the post for that article in the list with a label under it showing "[deleted] started invalid date." Trying to click on it from the All Discussion list takes me to a blank post.

Hmmm.... tried experimenting with this user a bit further. If I sign in to the Wordpress site directly first, then load the Flarum page, I get the popup asking to activate the forum account and autofilling the Wordpress username and asking if I'd like to use that. However, when I try to click the Enable button, I get a general "Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again." message. Reloading the page doesn't seem to change anything.

I tried clearing cache, signing back in, then heading back to the Flarum page and the same thing still happens.

clarkwinkelmann Ah! Yes, I did goof on one had had a mismatch between the urls with some bare domain and some www. Silly mistake to have made. I've corrected that and now do seem to get a display in the comments iframe on the article, so I think some progress has been made!

I also do seem to get redirected back to the forum all in one step now, though trying to set the username is still causing issues.
