I also think it's a bit expensive, unfortunately it's the lowest I can set on flagrow.io at the moment.

Using the iframe is the only way to make sure it works with all other extensions you might have.

I might develop a no-iframe implementation in the future, but it will require a lot more development (making the ext more expensive) and there would likely be a whitelist of other third-party extensions that are compatible.

Several plugins simply rename it using .htaccess, but using the default wp-login.php is considered bad practice, and I think you should factor this in as part of the design. My recommended plugin for testing is Shield Security - https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-simple-firewall/ (OneDollarPlugin) as this offers both a way to use .htaccess to re-write wp-login.php and also offers 2FA out of the box.

Configured my WP site with Flarum literally in minutes. It's so easy. And most important everything works!

The documentation has been updated with the new settings.

I have added a "Compatibility" section to the docs with the extensions/plugins that have been tested. The 2FA part of "Shield Security" is not compatible and I have no plan to add support for now. I can't even find if they have a documentation on how developers would integrate with their 2FA stuff.

I suppose the inevitable question here would be if the existing (and broken I believe) 2FA extension from the "Reflar days" will ever be compatible with this WordPress premium extension ? Seems to make sense, but would need some work of course..

Plus, the fact that I'd like the 2FA extension to be sucked into the FoF ecosystem !

[deleted] it depends if the Flarum 2FA extensions only affect native login, or also social logins. The Wordpress login here uses the social login feature, so any additional security put on the native login by an extension will be bypassed.

There's no actual error when using 2FA with Shield Security, but Flarum is immediately logged after normal login succeeds, bypassing 2FA. So you can keep 2FA enabled and it will protect Wordpress, but not Flarum.

Is this a plugin that I download and Flarum will work on my Wordpress site or do I need to host Flarum on a different server and then connect it to my Wordpress site with this? Sorry, I am a bit of a noob at this.

AbbeLabben hi. This is an extension for which you can buy a license through flagrow.io. It's not sold by or affiliated with Flarum, but by myself as an independent developer.

You can check flagrow.io terms of use here https://flagrow.io/terms/premium-extensions they only cover how a subscription works and doesn't define many obligations for both parties.

As said there I'm not performing any installation but only investing bugs if you find any. Hosting and installation is left at your discretion. The extension documentation describes which combinations of Flarum+Wordpress can be used. You'll see that hosting both on the same server is not an obligation. All settings and installation process are also described in detail.

hrvoje_hr it's a modification of the comments_template.php file of the Wordpress plugin. I will release an update to add those additional checks, even though they don't seem required with all themes.

When used exactly like this it will also have the side effect of hiding comments as soon as you disable them, even if comments were posted prior to disabling. The normal Wordpress comments usually stay visible when you disable them, and you just can't post any new one. I need to decide how to implement this in my extension...

@clarkwinkelmann here is another suggested fix, the plugin contradict with woocommerce standard checkout, since there is no validation on the post type, here is a fix inside main wordpress files:
