clarkwinkelmann Hello, I tried to install your extension after you annonce beta 14 compatibility on my fresh flarum install. But, it apparently can't install on this version

[InvalidArgumentException] Could not find a matching version of package kilowhat/flarum-ext-wordpress. Check the package spelling, your version constraint and that the package is available in a stability which matches your minimum-stability (stable).

It's maybe me, but not sure, so is your extension on a fresh Flarum 14 installation compatible or not?

Amarok have you configured your composer.json for Extiverse? The instructions can be found at https://kilowhat.net/flarum/extensions/wordpress#installation Is this your first premium extiverse Extension? The error message looks like what appears when Composer cannot find the package at all, which could mean missing Extiverse repository.

If Composer is correctly configured for Extiverse, you could use the following commands to maybe get more details: composer why-not kilowhat/flarum-ext-wordpress.

clarkwinkelmann it's not the first time I install this and checked with my other installation. It's seems to be a clone (without other extensions)

With the command just have this answer :

I had cherck many times, and redo all from 0 but.. still same answer when I want to install it :S

so, another question, is it possible to have multi-installation of this extension or not? 😉

Amarok if you moved hosting or something like that, make sure you re-run the Extiverse commands to re-configure the repository and the access token. If you have multiple forums, make sure you use the same token everywhere, because requesting a new token on Extiverse invalidates the old one. But there should be a different error message if you have an invalid token...

You could try to install a specific version, but I'm not sure whether it would give much more success if the base command doesn't work: composer require kilowhat/flarum-ext-wordpress:^1.6.2

If you are referring to the licensing, you should check Extiverse terms. You are allowed to install on multiple of your own forums but not re-sell or subcontract hosting.

If you are referring to Wordpress multi-site, this has not been tested.

I redo again all and checked 2 times

Is there a solution to be sure I can access to exstiverse server with a little command?
Are-you sure we can install it on a fresh install of Flarum 14? (sorry to ask but maybe..... who knows). Because the documentation still requists Flarum 13 😉

Will recheck the full installation of Flarum. Strange having those problem, didnt with another installation

Amarok glad you figured it out! These things happen 🙉

If you have multiple Wordpress installations of your own, you are welcome to use the extension on several of them at the same time with a single license. Flarum can only connect to one Wordpress at a time with this extension, but you can have multiple pairs of forum-website with a single license, no problem.

I think the integrated design should change in Wordpress. Maybe something similar to Disqus? It could become great alternative to it.

ZaKeks I'm hoping to have something a bit more polished like Disqus in the future. You can already achieve a lot with just custom CSS in Wordpress. Right now I include a visible border because I still rely on the scroll-based auto-load of Flarum, and having scroll without border looks odd.

Once I find a solution to drop scroll-based load and switch to button-based load like Disqus, I'll try to hide the border of the iframe entirely.

As for multi-level comments, I'd love to have that, but it would be a separate extension. I know there was one in the work, but I haven't tested it together with this the Wordpress extension yet.

suabahasa the same happened with fof/passport. I'm breaching this subject with @datitisev who wrote fof/oauth to see how to best to resolve this problem.

looks like the fof/oauth extension is loaded before this extension, that make the route shadowed

Hi @clarkwinkelmann. I've just come back to this after half a year away. I've just updated the Wordpress plugin to 1.4 and the Flarum plugin to 1.6. I can only log into Flarum if I've logged into Wordpress first. If I'm logged out of both and close the 'login' link on Flarum, it gives me a 404 error in the popup. If I'm logged into both, and I log out of Flarum, it doesn't log out of Wordpress.

I recall having similar issues back in March/April, but I thought I'd fixed them. Is this something I'm doing wrong?

EDIT: It looks like my Wordpress install is no longer redirecting. Any tips on what I should look at to fix this?

troymccann if you updated to Flarum beta 14, there's a conflict with fof/oauth which will be fixed soon but isn't yet FriendsOfFlarum/oauth9

If Wordpress isn't redirecting, it could be a conflict with another Wordpress plugin. You could try temporarily disabling some Wordpress plugins to see if this solves the issue.

Same thing in Flarum. If it's not working, you can try disabling some extensions to see whether there's any conflict.

clarkwinkelmann Thanks Clark. I'm on beta 13. I disabled all extensions except for this one and the problem persists.

This is all a bit too time consuming to keep spending time on this,and its caused my site to be down for large chunks of time - since April I think it's only been functional for maybe a week in total - so I'm going to cancel the subscription and remove the integration until it's a fair bit more stable.

I didn't purchase it yet, but definitely will asap you implement this kind of feature.

This is the idea : a function to receive the WordPress user role, in order to do something with it into Flarum. Per example in my case, I want to give special privileges to my Wordpress paid members, by automatically putting them into a Flarum group called, per example, "Premium". It would be pretty powerful and increase engagement. In the future, like that, additionnaly to special privileges (like uploading files or other), we will be able to give them special badges, extra points, etc...

T_Medias I am planning to synchronize Wordpress user roles with Flarum groups in the future.

I've also been thinking of integrating purchase features, like Woocommerce orders to Flarum groups, but the difficulty here is that I might need custom code for each kind of Wordpress plugins that offers purchase, unless those plugins connect with roles, which could be synced with the base feature.

Implementing the base feature (group sync) shouldn't be too complicated. But the difficult part is testing with all possible Wordpress plugins, because if a single plugin messes up with Wordpress hooks, the sync might break and that's a lot of work to troubleshoot when we need to identify which plugin might be conflicting.

Yes, I think it's better to focus on synchronizing wordpress user roles, and not those related to other plugins. In fact, too complicated to troubleshoot. It can be a mess.

So I think something like this :

A member aquire a Wordpress user role (like "premium") on the main website
When he connects to Flarum, the Wordpress user role "premium" is passed to Flarum
Into flarum, and with parameters of your plugin, the admin can choose which user role triggers which attribution to a Flarum group. Per example : "premium" (wordress user role) -> "premium" (Flarum group)

Is it something like that you are planning ?
