I tend to agree, but people should feel free to create whatever plugins they like.
I for one don't see much point in the "like" button either, at least for certain applications. (For other applications, it can be a great thing to have. I just don't buy into the idea that every forum must have a "like" button.) Since Toby said it was an extension, I'm hoping that means we'll be able to turn it off if we don't need it.
