It should not come as a surprise. Our traineeship has already proven extremely successful in the past with @tankerkiller125 doing an amazing job and being pulled into the core team with the release of beta 12.
During the beta 13 development cycle, we actually were dumbstruck with our newest trainee, some of us were even flooded with an unseen number of pull requests. @askvortsov (Sasha) as our newest trainee, without looking at the actual code/merges, must have been responsible for a majority of our changes this release! His devotion and commitment, in addition to his technical competence, has decided us to offer him a place in the team as well. Since yesterday he has been elevated to his new position as Core Developer of the Flarum project. Please give him a warm welcome!
Now that our team has grown to 6 core developers; @Franz as the lead, @clarkwinkelmann running point on security and @datitisev, @tankerkiller125 and @askvortsov as my peers, our next challenge is utilizing all this new capacity during the beta 14 development cycle while respecting the voluntary role everyone plays.
If you'd like to support this project; we are still actively looking for people for QA and docs among others. If you have some development knowledge and would like to be considered for a trainee position in the future, do let me know on discord/chat (DM is open).
