The /var/www/html directory is not writable.

This is the first time that i set up flarum. I am sure the /var/www/html is given permission 775. And i changed the user and group of that file using chown -R nginx:nginx /var/www/html. But the problem exists. I am very upset. Anyone can help poor me? ☹️

My VPS seting is centos 8+nginx

Moriarty Does PHP run as Nginx or does it run as www-data? It's important that the files be owned by whatever the user is that PHP runs under.

tankerkiller125 I think php run as nginx. But i dont know how to check the user of the php. I tried www-data:www-data before, it said that there are no this user. So I think the user is the nginx. Plus i followed this tutorial https://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-install-flarum-forum-on-centos-8

I read reallly really a lot discussions in the community and on the internet. I finally realize it's the fault of SElinux of centos!! After changing the file permission of /var/www/html in the SElinux, i opened the install UI.

Thats why you wont get this problem using debian or ubuntu! 😆
