I've got it going by installing the plugin whilst in the website root directory. So that's the good news and its look pretty fantastic !!!!

Now, I think on the phone forum looks great, the only thing is that I think its better navigating around the categories using the categories page as opposed to clicking on the drop-down box at the top - as it doesn't show you second-level categories well.

Is there any way to disable the drop-down box?

Thanks. Ash.

Hi, how can i fix the category post+discussion count number after a post has been deleted?

it's a pity that you can't hide the categories on the left

How is the extension installed? I can't activate. no settings page

The problem is that after activation it does not appear as in the photo and the view is the same as the original Flarum and I do not know where the problem is

      hover
You need to clear your cache and then it will show up (In Chome it is Shift+F5).

      tevildo
It is located under themes and not under extensions. So run the composer install command then check themes in your admin panel (should be below your extensions list).

hover It does though? There's a "categories" link in the left navbar. If you want it to be the homepage, you need to set that in the basics page of the admin dashboard.

So I'm a little unsure who's wheelhouse this falls under - possible my own, unsure hence the post - I currently use this extension alongside Flarum Blog

Flarum blog has a setting "Hide tags in taglist - When enabled, this extension will hide the blog tags from your homepage." This removes the tag(s) you are using with Flarum Biog - Categories does not respect this option in Flarum Blog and shows the tag

I suppose the question is - "is this a feature I can request to be added to this extension, should I be asking v17 (Flarum Blog) or is it a case of go away and figure it out myself?"

@askvortsov this is great, thanks a lot. If you're ever working on any updates, 2 things I think would be great to include would be to have the sub-categories minimisable on desktop like the way they can be on mobile, and also to have a setting in admin panel to have them minimised by default.

But it is still excellent and is a very useful addition!

I'm curious about the small forum optimisation setting - my forum isn't terribly busy so I have this enabled and it doesn't seem to be having a big impact... I assume as the performance concern is when you have a lot of users and a lot DB queries as a result. The difference in accuracy in post counts is rather stark though -e.g. my main forum has 600,000 posts, but without this setting enabled, I get a postcount of maybe 10 posts... 🧐

MikeBanim Actually the one thing most of my users want is a user-level setting to be able to enable/disable it for them by default

          I feel stupid.
How do I make parent categories collapsed on mobile as default?

Is it possible to change the font size? How?

I find it too big and the blocks too.

          Thanks!

            Oton You can use CSS,
            .TagCategory .TagCategory-content .TagCategory-main .TagCategory-name for categories.
            .TagCategory.SubCategory .TagCategory-content .TagCategory-name for subcategories.
.TagCategory .TagCategory-content for text content in blocks and also adjusting padding.

Thank you. It seems I can change all except the main category text. For example, the "GENERAL" text does not respond to the changes in font size.
