No black theme and options for users here?

Hey, I'm tired of the white background it is hurting my eyes. Is there no way to use the black background on this forum? I don't seem to be able to find it in the user options????

Littlegolden Actually I toyed around with flarum.cloud and you could pic background color - but maybe it is only for admins. It is in appearance... oh wait I can I paste pictures... hmmm... that did not work... Had been cool if Copy paste a picture had worked. Anyway it is in Appearance and it is called Dark mode - FluxBB had some of the same sort where you had Admin and User mode for Theme would be nice with the same here. I would love some Black! 🙂

JesusIsGodAlmighty I believe Night Mode does what you're referring to.

The extension is however not installed on this very forum.

Same story with file uploads. Extensions exist (see FoF Upload), but we have not installed any here. You can share pictures via sites like Imgur and use the link here with a bbcode or Markdown image.

clarkwinkelmann I'm still new here and getting used to the product, I might be a little off here and there. I have yet to perceive all the features, I see there is a search bar at the top. I'll try to be better at using it for the future. I just wanted to get going using Flarum and getting some more familiarity with it. It's growing on me - although this new style did not really speak to me.

JesusIsGodAlmighty The Flarum official community won't install unnecessary extensions, so you may not experience the features of many third-party extensions here.

If you want to experience other extensions, you may need some forums built with Flarum (each forum does not necessarily have all third-party extensions installed):

Dark Mode is an accessibility concern. I wouldn't call it unnecessary.

Littlegolden Well, FluxBB had things of user control as default, making them able to chose their theme so I would think that would be planned as well with Flarum, that the users could be allowed to have some control over things. 🙂
That's all - I don't know, it is still in Beta so I'm sure many things is yet to be worked on.

taciturasa Yeah I agree with that, maybe the stable version of Flarum will give users the right to choose enable Night Mode or not by default.
