yes, the app has notification permission

meetdilip I had this exact issue some time ago and unfortunately never resolved it. I'm ready to take another look though as I really could do with this working.

I had a post repy today that did not notify my phone. I have everything enabled too. Was a bummer. I don't get enough posts/reply to test much 😆

For users receiving the "Unable to generate key" message:

You must upload at least one logo for your progressive web app to be installable.

I just tried it at FreeFlarum and it resolved the error. It's also mentioned at the extension page, but I think that many people didn't realize that. I think that this should be put "more on eyes" (maybe in a warning box when the key fails to generate). Or there should be a condition to check whether or not at least one image is uploaded, and show a warning based on that.

Edit: It seems that this doesn't always work. Not sure what is causing this

SKevo very weird... Key generation and the image requirement don't really interact at all in the backend. I do want to refactor key generation to have less issues though.

Sorry, I dont quite understand what you mean. What part of the PWA spec are you referring to?

TheBlapse Ah I see, that isn't really a part of the PWA spec. Might be interesting to look into though.

I think there may be an issue between the @davwheat ads extension and PWA. I get an erro a lot of the time I open my FLarum on my web page using both. I will take a screenshot next time I see it and try and pull logs if I see anything in them.

So I had the issue pop up and was able to run to my logs real quick and grab them. Not sure if its PWA, Davwheat ads or Recache interacting with each other....

Those are my hunches but I could be totally wrong...

MikeJones So pretty sure my issue is between davwheat ads and the PWA extension. I have reached disabled right now and I am still getting this error I previously reported here.

Suggestion

Add 'purpose'=> 'any maskable', to the webmanifest, by doing this the app icon will adapt better when the pwa is installed on smartphones.

I searched and seems no one mentioned about the customization of the loading page here, just wondering other than filling placeholder color for the splash screen, is there a way, maybe I can add a loading image?
