@askvortsov What I currently not understand is the idea of the strikes. If I for example give 5 strikes to a user. What does it really mean? Is a 5 strike more serious than a 4 strike? Or do I count down with each additional warning? Maybe you can explain that a little. Many thx

MrB sure! The number of strikes is representative of the severely of the warning. This is exclusively for your use as an admin/moderator. At later times, I may include integrations where users would be automatically suspended after reaching a number of strikes

Why not set some preset warning reasons? And you can also add a warning button to the flag bar.

Lemming8 Not sure, it might take a while as there's quite a few considerations:

Should the suspension be permanent or a configurable length?
Should there be multiple thresholds with different suspension results?
If a warning is deleted/edited and the user's strike count drops below threshold, how should that be handled? What if a user is already suspended, should that suspension be removed?

askvortsov ah ok, but you could make multiple settings for this. i know, this makes it a lot more complicated, so, idk if you want to do this.

askvortsov What I saw some time ago was warnings had their expiration time (3 months) and then it disappeared. If someone got 5/5 points he got suspended until one of the points expired.

So by default (at worst) 3 months suspension is reasonable amount of time as for default value. But I would left flexibility to set another amount to do not force users to use default val.

Thanks, how could we get "warn user" for moderators themselves, whenever I click the 3 dots (on my own posts) i see "warn user", why would I want to warn myself?

From a technical standpoint, it's easier to simply let you warn anyone including yourself. And this could even be useful for the rare use case where someone might want to do it.
