There's no need to tag staff, someone will respond when they have time.
In response to yoru question, there is a setting in Permissions to stop people from editing posts. I don't think there's one to stop people from deleting their own posts, but an extension could definitely be made for that. Additionally, please keep in mind that a user can only 'soft delete' their posts: those posts will still be visible to moderators/admins.
