Correct, this option will need to be off for the widget to work.

[deleted] But it's inaccurate (unless it's been updated recently) if you want to use a reverse proxy and not a cert.

With some help installing it the first time I found it actually straight forward.
Since I haven't used it for some months because of performance issues (old flarum version) I am looking forward to set it up again. 🙂

- To take full advantage of this performance increase, I recommend you install and setup Blomstra's Redis Queue extension
- Performance benefits will vary based on the size of your forum. Small forums will only see a small difference, large forums will see a incredible difference.
- On the largest of forums, this extension previously crippled the posting load time
- I'm quite happy and confident in the scalability of Websocket at this point
Updated dependencies, if you had an issue with Guzzlehttp/psr7, you're good to go with this update.

Re-enabling the extension after upgrading from 3.0.4 to 3.3.0 broke the forum:

The two errors are from mentions, though. I'll keep the tab with the error open in case you need additional information, @Kyrne, I've disabled the extension through the database in the meantime.

MikeJones yes, they do separate things. You only need the queue portion of the other extension to make this work, but you are welcome to use the whole thing (even with Recache)

With two browser windows (one incognito), I see a different amount of users online as guest vs logged in. There are also some users I see in user directory as online, but in the list not so. Is it because it can't fit all users + guests in the widget?

Logged in: 4 users which includes myself, and no guests
Guest incognito: 1 user (not from above list, profile shows online 30 min ago) and no guests

Something like this should work, I don't think you really need to place the CMD in a script if it just the one liner to start the websocket process.

This extension is pretty cool and is a good replacement for pusher. I do recommend those who don't know how to keep the websocket service running, use a linux service @matteocontrini used, but would change working directory to your forums location and set the user to nginx or apache depending on how you set it up. I would check the status of the created service just to make sure its actually running.

I would like to use @Kyrne's websocket.
My web hosting uses apache and I am using the Cloudflare service. How should I configure the websocket?
In etc there is no ssl. The keys are located / home / mydomain / ssl / keys here are 3 keys (.key). While in / home / mydomain / ssl / certs there are 3 certificates.
Which ones should i use?

I wouldn't want to be wrong but using cloudflare I would automatically use its ssl, right?

Justoverclock Pusher automatically gets removed upon websockets installation

Just a side note: I had to disable websockets as it seems buggy, causes double posts, lots of "Oops something went wrong"

Worked for me, but only with " --with-all-dependencies".

I have a few issues but seems like the extension won't get any more update.
We bought a lifetime subscription last year and still hope to get some help from the author but no answers yet. 😢
