r4nchy nothing wrong here, the installation went fine. Did you try opening the site (maybe add public after the url).

OMG it ran successfully

I just deleted the .htaccess from root folder and ran as you said with public at the end of URL

Then why in the tutorial it says add

<Directory "/path/to/flarum/public"> AllowOverride All </Directory>

r4nchy that's what you need to add to the Apache config (not htaccess) on a VPS to enable htaccess files.
