cmwetherell Honestly, I've been using Flarum b13 for 7 days now - it feels like a complete product.
That is because it pretty much is. The main, probably the only reason why Flarum is still in beta is its extensibility. Beta means that the interfaces between core and extensions are still shifting here and there, and updates to the software in this beta state may require extensions to be modified to keep them working.
But I am also quite confident about our extension community. In the past, the most important extensions were adapted to core and API changes very quickly, so the risk of getting stuck with incompatible extensions, especially the important ones, was seldom felt in practice.
