There is another issue: enabling this extension removes all the tags in a discussion (not in the database) and I cannot select one, neither a language

maicol07 Is there a JS error? I'm assuming there is. Also, make sure to enable this extension before flarum/tags if you haven't already (tho I assume you have as if not, the Tags button would be there).

maicol07 Hm. I apologize - this is not the extension that requires flarum/tags to be loaded before it. You need to load flarum/tags after this extension so it works.

Because even with the two extensions disabled the error appears

I am thinking the icons that are been used for the languages is not correct, this icon approach is acceptable with the countries having a single language, but its not correct to apply with the countries having numerous languages, as in the case of India, there are 22 different languages and if a forum in all this different languages will give a huge list of Indian flag, so I suggest instead of using the flag symbol it would be great to go with any font awesome font. or something similar.

s1-ranjan you are probably not running the command in the correct directory. Navigate to the Flarum directory (containing composer.json and config.php) and try again.

clarkwinkelmann , Thanks for pointing out my mistake that I was making, but this time it gave a different problem with my php version for rinvex/countries which requires php ^7.4.0 but on my server is configured with 7.2.19 on a shared hosting environment. ☹️

Can someone give me an advice how to properly install this extension (I have installed before follow-tags and follow-users). Now, after installation of this extension, upon enabling it, I get in flarum log an error about existing database table discussion_language. What should I do?

Have you installed the extension previously and removed them? If it complains about the table already existing, then you either installed this extension before and somehow removed the entry from the migrations table. Or you installed a development or fork of the extension that ran the migration under a different name.

If that's indeed what happened, you could either check the migration has been properly applied and manually add the entry to the migrations table. Or you could delete all the tables and columns from the database and let the migrations run again next time the extension is enabled. Deleting that one table might not be enough, as the other migrations will also need the same care.

I really appreciate your answer. However, I did not understand everything. I will try to summarise:
an error occured after first installation of this extension, before that I had installed flarum-tags (as core extension), and fof-follow-tags. Somewhere in previous posts is mentioned that these extensions must be installed and enabled in specific order. Is it so?

Effectively, it comes down to what Clark mentioned. You can either drop the table (and lose any existing discussion language data), or manually go into your database and mark the migration as applied.
