askvortsov this is me overestimating for the majority of my BIG THINK moments 🙈

@johnlewissims the code and explanation I gave in my last post is not 100% accurate as it is missing some pieces. I'm going to continue to toy around with your extension and give what suggestions I can. I would not suggest making any of the changes I suggested in my previous post until we both understand how to achieve what this extensions is supposed to do through code (which is to calculate a user's like count for all posts that they received likes for).

This is a beautiful learning experience for both of us 😁 and also @askvortsov gives part of the solution to your problem as well.

I love both of you. I'm going to refactor a bunch of this tonight to fixe some of the jacked up javascript I wrote a few weeks ago lol.

I'll take both of what you said into account and try to solve from there. Thank you both so much.

EDIT: I went ahead and refactored the Javascript so it would be easier for everyone to see.

Alright. I took the advice you both gave me and added the query to the Serializer. This does the job.

My only hangup is that I couldn't find a way to get the user_id from the event. So I wound up pulling it from the database using a separate query with the username.

Is there a better way to do this?

This version allows users to add the like count to under each comment. I also added a setting for adjusting the phrasing to the right of the count.

@Gatsu Just pushed another update. This adjusts the css on mobile. On the standard version of Flarum this should fix the issue. If you are using a custom template of some sort, it may require some custom css for now until we can find a better solution.
