Some Questions on Features

We're going implement a toolbar with formatting buttons in the Markdown extension, and also a preview mode... but we'll leave true rich-text WYSIWYG to someone else 😉

I'm glad to hear about the formatting buttons. I don't mind trying to remember markdown syntax, but I think most of the people using my forums will be really happy to have the buttons. 🙂

Excellent, thanks again for those replies - and good news indeed.

Lastly, regarding the front page of categories tiles - when I saw these multicoloured tiles I immediately thought of theverge.com - in a good way.. it would be cool to set featured images per section/tag/category, so that it creates a similar visual to the Verge front page.. either that or simply a small featured image in the top corner of these 'tiles' that would make it look more tailored to the purpose of the forum and also allow users a quick visual view as to what's being discussed per forum section.

Q: How do I upload an inline image from my desktop? (and will this be part of the core reply box tool bar?)

And, is there a 'forum statistics' feature I'm not aware of - like totals for Users, Posts, Current members online etc. etc. ?

I guess that posting an inline image at present would involve hosting it somewhere on the internet and linking to it.
