What do you think about syagush

as a non-english speaker I need to know some thoughts about the syagush word
it means caracal in English and FYI in Persian sya means Black and gush means ear and refers to
an animal (?) with black ears (caracal)
I'm asking this because I want to make a designing group and I'm looking for a cool name

But at least it doesn't call an bad connotations to mind. The initial sya might be a problem for many English speakers, since that combination just doesn't happen at the start of a word in English, so it forces the brain to stop and say, "Hmm ... now what do I do with this?"

That said, I think it really depends on how you package it. Looking at it as pure text gives one impression; make it a fancy logo and it could give quite a different impression.

EDIT: Apparently syagush is in Webster's Unabridged, which sort of makes it officially an English word too!

Caracal is already an infrequently used word, so you could probably get by with using it. Otherwise, I'd probably find a different language to translate it into.

Since it's an unusual word, I think it will be an easy name for people to remember once they've seen it a couple times. It might be a bit difficult to remember the spelling (I just found myself wanting to spell it as "syugash"!) but a good logo will help with that too.

I think that's very clever. My first-glance impression was "Woah, someone needs a spell-checker!" But after a second I was able to separate it into pro + dues, and since then I can only see it that way.

One thing you could do to push that sense would be to make the logo all lower-case and use a different color or outline style, etc., to set the "p" and the "d" off, e.g.

... Just an idea that came to me as I was looking at the site. I dig the color you're using for the background, btw. ?
