Fresh install beta.5 + old_forum.sql. Is it possible?

Something went wrong & i'm did fresh install. All went well, but when imporing the old database, I get the error

What should I do now?

How are you importing it? Command line? A program?

Looks like no database is selected when importing. If you look at the error -

 Mysql said 
#1046 - No database selected

Without knowing how you're doing it, can't identify the correct way.

sizonov_stas Instead of importing, you can as well connect to your old database after a fresh install of beta-5. This requires 2 steps :

1) In config.php set the name of the old database
2) Run <your flarum utl>/admin (like this, admin without the extension) and then enter the password of your database so that it can be converted to the new format.

Before this it is good to make a dump (backup) of your database

So it either can't find or can't connect to a database...
That is really weird... and it also does that with a fresh install? Even weirder..
Please give system info, such as MySQL version, OS running, etc...

You can also try this:

Click on the database on the left when logged in
Click on import and choose the database

I'm created empty db,before installing flarum
installed it, and try to import old db.
get an error on screen from 1 post

Sorry it is not helpful, but I would double-check you have selected the proper database to import in to.

The error info saying "No database selected" is pretty implicit. If you are 110% sure you selected the database and chose to import in to it, then the error is vague, at best.
If it is some other SQL error than it should be throwing a different error entirely.

You might also go ahead and create a test database separately and try to import the data in to it to see if it will work, or if it throws some other error:
