Silent Moderation Tools

Hi,
I think it would be a cool idea if we could have silent moderation tools.
Such as silent edits, silent locks & stickies as well as changing channels.
Mainly because if I edit someone's message, I don't always want it saying that it was edited by me- the same with locking, stickying and changing channels.
Also the same with deleting messages.

Another idea I think would be cool, was if when you delete someone's post/discussion, you can choose whether it's not publicly visible. Such as, if I delete a post on someone's thread, it says that the post is still there, I think it would be useful if it was made so that only staff could see that post- not just everyone. When deleting posts/discussions it would also be cool if you could provide a reason and then it sends the member a notification as to why the post/discussion has been deleted.

You can delete the posts that say "User stickied the discussion" etc. after you've performed the action.

Deleted posts are (should be?) only visible to mods/admins.

Edit/delete reasons, and disclosing who edited the posts, are probably the kind of power features that will come later. Thanks for the ideas! 🙂

I much prefer this to esoTalk's way of doing things. However, while I agree with JamesJ that silent moderation tools would be a nice thing to have, I've been meaning to say that I really love how Flarum automatically posts feedback on things like tag changes and stickies. That's a great time-saving feature in situations where moderators want users to see what's going on.
