meetdilip I've removed the links from the quoted spam. I think it's fine to share what that spam is but removing the links is a must for security reasons as well as ensuring that google doesn't flag our site for linking back to that content.

I wanted to give the original spam content as luceos mentioned about some effort into auto-blocking of common spam posts. That is why I didn't remove the links. But yes, nice that it is gone now 🙂

I have the same problem. This user focus on only Flarum websites. I ban ip adress and block user but he/she create new user. How can I prevent this.

fakruzaruret I got that one as well on one of my barely used forum.

Not sure if that's automated or manual work. The account was created and enabled very quickly, then waited 19 hours before posting.

I suspect the showcase tag here and/or BuiltWithFlarum and/or the Flarum Lab might be used to get a list of forums, since my website isn't known at all and poorly referenced, and the language does not match either.

Interesting, I've got the same spammers on my forum as well. Some users of mine recognized a small pattern: It's mostly a username with four random numbers at the end (for a couple of new account that never posted anything). But aparently the usernames are identical to other forums. I've also the users mvp0000 and thanhthuy02 that recently registered and posted spam. Also swiftsafe seems to be a (spam)bot.

Anyway, on a positive note: it's good to see that Flarum forums seems to be more attractive for spammers, apparently the platform is growing and they see potential 😛

Got this post as well. I used the https://lab.migratetoflarum.com/, so I'm guessing they checked a list of sites there. like @JasperVriends I also have mvp0000, though they never posted.

If something similar happens, i suggest you delete the post and alert them, if they keep going, suspend them for a few days, if they keep going, then suspend them indefinetly, if they make another account, ban their IP and delete all their accounts.

Btw, DO NOT DELETE POSTS PERMANENTLY, just leave them deleted so you have proof for later if anything happens.
