flarum/bbcode plan to make it compatible with beta 14?

Hi,

Is there a plan for flarum/bbcode to make it compatible with the last version (beta 14)?
I see it is currently stuck for beta 12: https://github.com/flarum/bbcode/releases

All bundled extensions are always compatible with the latest version. No release was necessary because no changes were made.

Extiverse check is currently showing red for flarum/bbcode. I don't know if a dummy update is needed to show it is compatible with the latest version: https://packagist.org/packages/flarum/bbcode.

HLFH It probably did not require any updates to be compatible. I know my BBCode extensions didn’t require any changes. You’re probably correct that it just needs a version number update.

Extiverse is complaining because flarum/bbcode does not EXPLICITLY state that it is beta 14 compatible, but that does not make it any less beta 14 compatible. It is compatible with beta 14.

askvortsov Yes you are right but I cant upgrade my forum. There is no any imcompatible extension for beta14 when I use composer why-not flarum/core v0.1.0-beta.14 command.

Is this not a bit confusing? How is the end user supposed to know if a plugin is compatible or not if it's showing an old version number?

Why can't you upgrade your forum? Do you get an error when you try?

I follow this guide but flarum core does not upgrade. Still it is Beta 13.

Hmm one thing you could try is deleting the vendor and composer.lock files/ folders (with a backup of course), and re-running composer install.

askvortsov Yes I have deleted vendor and composer.lock and still it is beta 13 although I use composer install.

MartinJD I bet the theory is, since it is a core extension which comes with the core installation, you know it’s compatible.

010101 suspect you're right, thing is, i'm looking at the extensions pannel now and there is no way to tell if it's core or third party. I think core plugging should explicitly say "core" in the name. ie "Core-bbcode"

MartinJD you can tell an extension is a core extension when listing Composer dependencies because the vendor is flarum/*.

It's true the vendor is not visible in the admin panel, but since there's no update indicator in the admin panel I don't think it's too much of an issue right now?
