luceos Jerry it's not incompatible 😉 You will need to clear your cache php flarum cache:clear or empty the cache manually rm -rf storage/views/*
Jerry Wow it works!! Thanks a lot! But I need to report that, when I reload my backup and try the same procedure to update flarum from beta13 to beta14 again, it turns out that only rm -rf storage/views/* can resolve the problem, php flarum cache:clear can not.
[deleted] Jerry it turns out that only rm -rf storage/views/* can resolve the problem, php flarum cache:clear can not. That's a permissions issue. Ensure that whoever you are running the command as from the console actually has permission to execute.
Applepiee peopleinside I followed your suggestion and it reinstalled everything. Still getting the same error. Here is the paste bin of the install: https://pastebin.pl/view/a61cb2f4
peopleinside Applepiee I'm sorry to read this. If so you need maybe help from developers that will reply to you in this discussion. They may be little bit more busy,
luceos Applepiee everything is okay, it installed just fine Writing lock file Applepiee Ok. I hope it's ok if I tag them again No need to tag. Most staff reads everything especially support discussions 😉
Applepiee luceos Yes, but I still had the error. I actually just backuped all files and database, and I deleted everything to do an installation from scratch.
Applepiee For anyone finding this thread, I solved the problem by: Backuping my files and database, Remove the all flarum files, Reinstall flarum, Copied my config file, Copied my /public/assets/avatars/ And all is working now! I noticed when I was reinstalling that my system admin kinda fucked with the paths so that was possibly the problem.
eddiewebb [deleted] I have this in my own home directory (owner of files with full rights) during local testing, no error from cache:clear but rm on storage/views fixed it.
[deleted] eddiewebb yes, there is no permission to delete from either the browser session or the cli by the sounds of it.
Sanguine I can confirm that a php flarum cache:clear does not clear storage/views/ which was necessary with some of our upgraded Free Flarum forums. I guess it would make sense for the cache:clear command to also clear views, since they can be regenerated?
MartinJD Sanguine is this a bug then? I would like to upgrade to beta 14 but I'm hesitant if there are issues.
sylv38 MartinJD I can confirm it worked for me deleting /views manually and that this is the only bug I encountered
Sanguine It's a bug, but is easily fixed by removing storage/views/* We have upgraded thousands of forums to beta14, and have not encountered any serious issues yet. Great work by the Flarum dev & QA team!
giter it turns out that only rm -rf storage/views/* can resolve the problem, php flarum cache:clear can not.
