I don’t think you will need to touch the lock file. All I know is:

composer.json says what your requirements are. composer.lock says what is installed.

If updating composer.json doesn’t help please start a brand new support post so that a developer with more experience can help you.

Hi! I just tried this but I’m getting FASTCGI SENT IN STDERR "PHP MESSAGE: PHP FATAL ERROR Interface session handler interface not found in /home/container/zero/vendor/illuminate/session/FileSessionHandler at like 10. when visiting the website, and I just get a white screen. What can I do?

[deleted] Sorry, I have no idea. It could be many things. Also, this guide may or may not work for all shared hosts. Plus, it's a year old. I'm sure in general the instructions still work but no guarantees.

tofayel You have to make adjustments to certain files such as site and index. Sometimes if you aren’t careful you might do that part slightly wrong.
