Beta 14 update leaves only some users unable to see discussions?

I upgraded to Flarum beta 14.1 yesterday, but now some users are unable to see any content. Things are working normally for other users, including myself. Any idea why? They can login but they just see "no content". Permissions are correctly configured as far as I can tell, and I uninstalled some add-ons that seemed compatible but weren't strictly necessary.

And the output of php flarum info run in your Flarum root folder via ssh?

samus14 Your View Discussions is set to Admin/Mods globally. With specific tags more permissive.

You'll want to flip that around. Make global permissions the most permissive, then restrict in specific tags where you need to.

jordanjay29 - hmmm. It was set this way before the upgrade, and worked fine then. I will try your suggestion, thank you!

jordanjay29 - I have done so, but no change. In fact, things seem worse. I was able to view discussions normally beforehand on the frontpage of the forum, now when I try to load it, I get a message that "An error occurred while trying to load this page."

I can access the admin pages normally (navigating to them via URL).

Any additional help would be very welcome!

samus14 check the logs at <flarum>/storage/logs and/or the browser javascript console (under development tools) for error messages.

The Javascript console seems to return a generic Status500 Internal Server Error.

The logs include this flarum error:

Any idea what this means?

samus14 clear your cache with php flarum cache:clear

Then check under <flarum>/storage/cache and <flarum>/storage/formatter to see if any file is left over. Delete the files that are remaining in those directories.

This error usually happens when Flarum is unable to delete files from the cache folder because of file permission errors.
