luceos It would help us a ton to point out where the new admin ux lacks in your opinion by providing actionable feedback.
First of all, I like the new admin interface. The advantages clearly outweight the flaws.
What annoys me a bit is the categorization of the extensions (discussion, moderation, features, formatting, other extensions). Only "languages" seems really unambiguous to me. I use the search function to mitigate my confusion, so it's OK for me.
But if you want to get to the Moderator Warnings extension, for example, where would you guess it is? And what does FoF HTML Errors have in common with BBCode and Markdown? FoF Pretty Mail, on the other hand, I would expect to be in the neighborhood of FoF HTML Errors and arguably language extensions too.
It would probably be easier to just have an alphabetically sorted list.
bryantmilan Previously it was very simple with only a couple of sections in the left sidebar and as soon as you enter admin page in a second you find the section you need.
Only a handful of extensions had their own sections, many others had their settings buried next to the entry in the extension list. If every extension had put their settings in a separate section to the left, the simplicity had gone as well. And extensions tend to develop more and more setting options over time, which in my opinion is a good thing.
