A Rich Text Editor would be very friendly to those who are beginner and has low knowledge about these stuff. Can somebody develop or suggest a Rich Text Editor?

I don't believe there is one at the moment. I've seen some chatter on Github about it in the flarum repo though.

ctml We've been doing some research and investigations into the issue yet. But even though we're doing that now we won't make any final decisions or have it released until very much after stable (possibly not until 2.0 stable). We're far to close to stable to be changing something as significant as the editor now.

Please be patient. This is probably the most requested feature not currently implemented in Flarum, and it hasn't been implemented yet because it's quite difficult. If you're interested in following along with my investigation, you can do so at flarum/core2566

Have you looked at this extension? It is quite new so should work with latest Flarum, however you must compile it yourself

Bishwas-py as per the github issue, we won't be including anything in core directly. There's 2 parts to this:

Refactoring core and bundled extensions to work based on generic "editor drivers". I have PRs open for this, but will be adding more changes (for listening into clicks, inputs, etc)
Releasing an extension with rich text support. I'm currently working on one, and am very happy with its progress. This might be bundled or published by my personally, that's not decided yet.

Needless to say, point 2 is dependent on point 1, and for this release cycle, our priority is on finishing extenders. Unfortunately, I can't give any info or assurances on when these refactors will be implemented.

Not sure it's a real +
For me, the better is the minimal like flarum have with 2-3 adjustments (text-align, text-color, media embed /upload like fof/uplaod, and maybe with a better media integration with size / gallery)

But dont forget, it's a forum, not a wordpress like installation 😉

Amarok That's part of the reason why it won't be a part of core, and will be so drop-in (if you enable it but then have to remove it, posts won't break since it's based on s9e textformatter). I'll also note that my extension includes a user preference setting where users can revert back to the simple editor.

Additionally, the changes needed for the editor driver system will also allow us to update to the latest version of mdarea, meaning that we should be getting full undo/redo support in the core editor, for anyone who prefers that typing experience.
