CyberVit This isn't exactly what @lorem did, but I started to do something like this. I ended up not liking how it was turning out so I reverted back to the original styling. Also, this is only code for the views. You'd have to figure out how to also do this same type of look with the replies and align everything. If nothing else, maybe this will point you in the right direction:

BMoney Great extension! Is there a way to have discussion views display on mobile?

@MichaelBelgium I read there were some positioning issue on mobile so you set display:none for mobiles. But please is it possible to show them on the mobile also after fixing their position? There is enough space vertically below the reply number on mobiles also or the number of views can be somewhere inside the row also I don't mind. These number of views will help the mobile visitors to know which discussions are popular or better in quality just like they help the desktop users. Most of the visitors are from mobiles nowadays. Also it helps them to see that the forums are regularly visited with a lot of readers of each discussion so if they reply in discussion many will read their reply. So showing these discussion views on mobiles will also promote more participation. Please help. If not possible by css, can it be upgraded to show the views on mobiles too please? Thanks in advance.

BTW, I just love how this extension counts every single hit. Please don't change that simplicity ever. You can give options for those who want to show only uniques, etc. But please keep it simple and direct like this by default.

Its working for me, the old code, but fixed that positioning issue (by just setting float to none). The result is what you see above

0E800 @MichaelBelgium @Alshain @BMoney Ok, I fixed this mobile issue with the below custom css so that the view counts can be still seen on mobiles right above the author profile avatar in the discussion list:

}

Had to use important because it not taking it without it. This way the view count is in the top left corner and the comment count is in the top right corner so it looks least messy than other options. For me it was not possible by css to keep the views count on the right corner below the comment count on mobiles like on desktops. On the bottom left corner below the avatar, it was messing up in smaller screen phones.

Im waiting for unique tracker. You can add 2 option one of them unique tracker one of them normal tracker and people can choose.

I'm planning this:

A settings page where u can choose between:
- the way of tracking: normal or unique by ip
- the way of displaying the count (abbr or full, eg 3000 vs 3K)
- if you wanna display the (un)popular filters or not
A list of latest discussion viewers
Database changes to provide the above - This will probably reset ALL discussionviews

I expect the database changes would be done by end of january - first I got exams and at work its a busy time.

Versioning update

I've stepped down from the odd "v0.1.0-betax" versioning for this extension.
Please reinstall the extension to prepare for upcoming releases (like v3.0.0).

MichaelBelgium There seems to be a conflict which causes the discussion list to not load sometimes. Mainly, with the pages extension, if I go to a page then use the top bar’s back button, I go back to all discussions but the loading spinner spins forever. No discussions load. As soon as I disable this extension it’s fixed.

Oddly, nothing in my Flarum error logs.

Edit: It's the number abbreviation setting. Posted the JS error at GitHub.

After update the extension, the number of discussion views displayed on the forum homepage has become “0”, but the original records are all in the "view_count" field of the database and have not become “0”. Why is the homepage still showing 0?

In addition, after I visit a discussion, the database 'view_count' field of the discussion i visited will clear the original count and restart counting.

And I found that the 'change views' is nolonger exist... So we only can change views by change database self?
