matteocontrini Another thing: when quoting some text from another message, shouldn't a new line be added after the quote, so that the user can simply start writing a reply?
ornanovitch TOWUK_ru askvortsov Unfortunately this is a limitation of the text formatting library we use. An external extension could override that, but I don't think it's something I'll be doing.
tankerkiller125 TOWUK_ru The WYSIWYG is based on markdown, which does not support named spoilers. You can still use BBCode manually if you wish.
askvortsov TOWUK_ru You can type BBCode into the WYSIWYG editor the same way you will type it into the current editor. It won't be previewed in the editor, but when posted, it will be formatted properly in the post.
askvortsov askvortsov The ability to add custom buttons that would insert some arbitrary text (configurable in admin) either at the cursor, or around the selected text. This could be useful for adding "support" to BBCode that isn't supported by the editor I am planning to support this. However, note that BBCode-based formatting won't be previewed in the editor. The buttons will insert opening and closing tags at (or around) the cursor.
askvortsov [deleted] It will increase bundle size by about 100kb, gzipped. That still comes in way under Discourse and other competitors. For most sites, that difference will be worth it. If your forum is full of highly technical folk, the default markdown editor might be better.
askvortsov meetdilip hmm... I want to avoid eyes because that can get confusing with the preview button, and we need to keep preview around because not all content is supported by the WYSIWYG editor (e.g. BBcode)
askvortsov Bishwas-py It depends on changes introduced in beta 16, so I'll be releasing it shortly after beta 16.
aaronlbpeterman @SKevo Your hamster might, despite some encouraging first steps, never be able to fully grasp the concept of Flarum Markup. Itt upon FreeFlarum endUsers who still ask how the hell word editor works
