Just a note: Using the dasboard extension I can look for updates.
The German language pack shows up with the following entry:

      And right before my deadline, support for Flarum 0.1.0-beta.8 has been added with our latest release!

      I have this error when I try to install the extension.

      My system:
      Flarum0.1.0-beta.8.1 PHP 7.2.13 MySQL 5.7.24

      Error:
      Problem 1
      - Installation request for cbmainz/flarum-de ^0.8.1 -> satisfiable by cbmainz/flarum-de[0.8.1].
      - cbmainz/flarum-de 0.8.1 requires flarum/core ^0.1.0-beta.8.1 -> satisfiable by flarum/core[0.1.x-dev, v0.1.0-beta.8.1] but these conflict with your requirements or minimum-stability

          Hey! I activated the Pack in the extensions menu and disabled the English Pack. The texts now say stuff like core.admin.nav.extensions-button. How can I fix this?

            I would always recommend not to disable the English language extension, as you won't gain anything from doing so.

            That said, you should be able to remove the extension if you have chosen German on the frontend before and set the default language to German in the admin panel (Basics).

                Littlegolden That is because these are third party extensions, which are currently not supported by the language pack. There is a ticket discussing this here: Kakifrucht/flarum-de14

                In the future this translation will probably be shipped as an official extension and there will be another language pack that collects the translations for most third party extensions.
