My extension is on beta 16 and to my understanding Gamification is not available for this version. Also, i see that there's a issue open about it.

This extension either needs an urgent update or merge this function into 'Likes' extension bundled with flarum. It stops working randomly

wbntff can you give more details about the "random" stops?

I just checked the source code of the extension for any issue but the extension essentially boils down to two lines of PHP code and I don't see anything that could have been broken by any recent Flarum update.

However this could be an extension priority issue. If any other extension influences the like permission it might overshadow this one. But even then Flarum is supposed to handle policy conflicts pretty well.

clarkwinkelmann I think the only other extension which can tinker with this one is your own 'Likes received' because both are connected to same bundled extension.. (i might be wrong too)
few days back both have stopped working and i had already noticed other issues like duplicate subdirectory path (in post links when flarum is installed in a subdir)
So i just installed it in a subdomain and while doing that your extension was updated to flarum 1.2, so i installed new version and got that issue resolved.

In a new installation, this 'no self likes' worked but suddenly since 3 days it stopped working.
I dont know how to give details as nothing in error_log

This extension is not updated for more than a year and does not work with php 8 or above.
I tried downgrading to php 7+ but still no use. Cannot test further as my composer requires php 8 or above to install/uninstall anything.
Maybe time to remove this extension and add similar feature in https://discuss.flarum.org/d/24489-likes-received

FYI, Flarum v1.5 will ship a permission to allow/disallow self-likes.

wbntff all my extensions are developed against the minimum php version required to run flarum and latest flarum release. Looking at the code, nothing appears to be incompatible with php 8.
