code block issue

i have some problem with the code block, in flarum.it (maybe u can register on it and use the TEST tag) is not formatted, for example here if i post:

appear correctly...on my forum it appears on 1 single row and with 2 sliders....why?

Why are there 2 sliders for the box at your forum? Are you using an extension that changes how codeblocks display? It doesn't seem like default Flarum codeblock (but you could be using custom CSS, of course, so I'm asking if it's a bug in the extension you're using or if it's a Flarum bug).

I think that I observed similar bug sometimes before beta.16/v0.1.0, so it might be a bug in beta.15 and below too, although I am not sure

SKevo no extension for codeblock, i have rich text editor only, and i'm on beta 16

SKevo last we spoke, he was using custom CSS for his code blocks.

@Justoverclock can you post an updated version of your custom CSS/LESS here?

Justoverclock then I guess that the problem is there. Try disabling that extension and see what happens - if it's a bug in rich text editor, then report it in it's discussion

From a quick look on https://flarum.it/d/80-sdfsdfdsf it doesn't seem to be a CSS problem. The code block really doesn't have any newlines

Which formatting is it? [code] bbcode, single backtick or tripe-backtick? With or without a language parameter?

I tried removing all CSS through dev tools and copying the raw HTML, the newlines don't seem to be there. So they must either have been removed server side, or client side before submitting.

Justoverclock take a look at the Litedown documentation on using fenced code blocks (the triple back-ticks ``` ). On the same page you can learn about inline code usage.

What exactly are you trying to achieve with your custom code block CSS? Are you looking to remove the innermost or outermost scroll bar?

askvortsov I tested using the WYSIWYG editor and even with the custom CSS @Justoverclock provided I can't reproduce what's in this screenshot on this post Justoverclock.

On the topic of the custom CSS used, I believe this discussion is most suited to belong in the Theming tag. @Justoverclock are you actively troubleshooting/changing the CSS values? If you added/removed/modified any CSS from the code you recently mentioned, please let us know 🙂

I can confirm, that this happened before, during other discussions, when troubleshooting his css, every time I refresh page, values were different.

@Justoverclock Any Wrong change in css, such as simple line can have a different impact on the view of a forum. Be careful.
