About The Project

Spanish language pack for Flarum Software, includes its extensions and libraries in two Spanish language registers; Formal Spanish and Informal Spanish, both selectable from the extension administrator dashboard.

This extension is maintained by @jslirola and @Darkle members of the verified Flarum en EspaƱol community.

Getting Started

In order to install the Spanish language extension package, you will need to follow these simple steps.

āš ļø Minimum Requirements

šŸ“„ Installation

Flarum uses Composer to manage its dependencies and extensions. The Spanish language pack is available on Packagist and can be managed that way. Make sure Composer is installed on your server, then run the following command at the location where Flarum is installed:

composer require flarum-lang/spanish

ā™» Updating

As with the installation procedure, make sure Composer is installed on your server, and then run the following commands at the location where Flarum is installed:

composer update flarum-lang/spanish
php flarum cache:clear

Usage

Once the extension is installed, you will have to activate it from the administrator panel:

(Optional) Next you will be able to select the Spanish register (formal and informal) that you want to use.

šŸšØ Don't forget after selecting the registry to save changes and clear cache.

If you are not a Spanish speaker and you don't know which register to choose, here is a note to help you.

NOTE: On the internet we normally use an informal register so it is advisable to use it as it will be familiar to users. In professional or more serious contexts, choose the formal register.

    1.0.1

    • Minor changes for composer.json

    ā™» Update

    composer require flarumes/lang-spanish
    php flarum cache:clear
    a month later

Just installed Flarum 1.0.0 and it's up and running. However, when trying to add flarumes/lang-spanish I get following errors:

    C:\flarum>php flarum --version
    Flarum 1.0.0
    C:\flarum>composer require flarumes/lang-spanish
    Using version ^1.0 for flarumes/lang-spanish

      Problem 1
        - flarumes/lang-spanish[1.0, ..., 1.0.1] require flarum/core ^0.1.0-beta.16 -> found flarum/core[v0.1.0-beta.16] but it does not match your minimum-stability.
        - Root composer.json requires flarumes/lang-spanish ^1.0 -> satisfiable by flarumes/lang-spanish[1.0, 1.0.1].
Use the option --with-all-dependencies (-W) to allow upgrades, downgrades and removals for packages currently locked to specific versions.
Installation failed, reverting ./composer.json and ./composer.lock to their original content.
    C:\flarum>

Tried -W option as well, but got the same response. I can't really understand from the problem description, whether lang-spanish extension wants Flarum beta and doesn't work with stable version or I need to do something differently here.

aprold at moment seems that is not compatible with flarum 1.0, u need to wait a little bit that author update this package

      a month later

      "sergio added the Ventania tag."
