[deleted] Yes. It's easy to update. What makes it "hard" sometimes is extensions not being updated. WordPress will let you update even if plugins aren't compatible. Then you have a broken WordPress site. Flarum won't let you update so that your site isn't broken. That's the idea anyway.
This site and others will update to 1.0 once more extensions are updated.
For example, I have not updated yet because I need fof/drafts which hasn't been updated yet.
You have to be patient and wait for developers to update their extensions.
I understand what you're saying though. Still, even once extensions are updated, compared to a one click update, it's more difficult for your average user to update since you may need to first do something like, "*" certain extensions in your composer.json or something similar. <-- What I just said will even confuse some if you aren't familiar with the update process. So this alone is an example of it being a little harder than some platforms.
Although, I've heard this is on the core devs minds. It could get easier in the future.
