I think of ideas but I may or may not ever figure out how to implement them and so I post them here just in case a developer is like, “Yeah, I can do that in less than an hour, I’ll make this.”
I’m dreaming of an extension where an admin or moderator can click on “feature” or “staff pick” in the menu where you can sticky or lock a post. All it would then do is add an extra css class to those posts.
Why only a class? Because then the forum owner can decide how they want to style featured posts.
I’m thinking I would just make them a different color.
So, no separate page, no sorting different, no nothing. Just add a class to just those posts.
This seems simple enough to where I might even be able to figure it out one day. But, again, if you’re a developer with a spare 30 min to 1 hour and you already know how to do this... just saying... please? 🥺
