It is not much bad.

It's very possible that this is a browser not correctly rendering the notification, especially if it works for some and not for others.

I was completely wrong! It's an issue relating to image-based avatars.

PR has been made to fix this in core: flarum/core2906

If you want to manually patch this in your forum(s), insert this into the manual Less box on the admin page:
