It seems the search in Flarum not functioning if we input Sinhala(සිංහල) Unicode characters.
Just search the word සිංහල in this forum. It will show there's no discussions in here.
But, https://discuss.flarum.org/d/27076-sinhala-language-pack this disuccsion contains the word සිංහල more than once.

මෙතැන flarum/core2230 දැනටමත් සඳහන් කරලා තියන ගැටලු හතරෙන් දෙකක් විතරයි තවම ඉතිරි. නමුත් මේ අනුව https://github.com/flarum/core/milestones?state=closed අනෙක් අංගවලට ප්‍රමුඛත්මය දුන්නත් ඔයාට පසුගිය අනුවාද වලින් මේ ව්‍යාපෘතියේ සාමාන්‍ය සංවර්ධන වේගය අනුමාන කරගන්න පුළුවන්, පෙනෙන හැටියට එතරම් කාලයක් ගතවන එකක් නැහැ.

But in 0.1.0-beta.9 version Sinhala Unicode works fine. I think they can fix this with a minor update.

I hope they will fix this issue in the next flarum update.

කලින් අපි සූම් එකේ ෆොරම් එක කළේ vbulletin. මේ සැරෙත් ඒක ගත්තේ නැත්තේ ඒක කිසිම modern look එකක් නෑ. අනික කමියුනිටි සපෝට් එක අන්තිමයි උන්ගේ. ඊට පස්සේ XenForo එකයි මේකයි බල බල ඉඳලා මේකෙන් පටන් ගත්තා අපි.

Many changes were made, often to improve performance. This was certainly not done on purpose. But I doubt we will find any single change that's responsible for this, it's probably a group of changes that caused it.
If anyone has technical insights on what needs to be changed, please add your findings to our GitHub issues. We have a GitHub issue summarizing most of the unicode-related issues here flarum/core2230
Once that's fixed, some integration tests should definitely be added with example search queries in various languages to ensure this doesn't get reverted again.
