Not able to change avatar

Hello, I've just deleted my avatar and tried to upload it once again, but with no luck. Error message wont say much but I post it anyway: Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again. Can someone test if uploading avatar feature works as it should? Or am I the only person who experiances it? I appreciate your help!

I've tried upload several picture sizes, several picture file types, however nothing worked for me. Tested on Ubuntu and Iphone via chrome.

Here and at FreeFlarum also. Its weird, because some time ago I haven’t experianced this. Thanks for your help, I hope we can figure it out.

What I suspect by pure deduction is that its related with flarum core perhaps? Anyway we are waiting for guys to have a look into logs, so you need to be patient.

We (Flarum team) cannot access FreeFlarum logs so the forum name doesn't help much. However I read in the FreeFlarum discussion they added a way for you to retrieve the log from the dashboard, so maybe there's a message there you can copy?

Are you able to see the HTTP status code in the browser network console? It is 500 error or a different error code?

The file might just be too big for the server to handle. I think most servers will return a dedicated 5xx HTTP error code for it.

Just dropping a note that the avatar upload error was hopefully fixed for FreeFlarum - the GD PHP extension was missing (ref, solved it by using apt-get install php8.0-gd). Perhaps something similar happened at Discuss during PHP 8 upgrade (if it uses PHP 8)? In fact, it happens to me too on Android here on Discuss
