huuduy216 I don't want to hijack this thread too much, but to be honest not sure I have too many good tips. If you check out my flarum, I don't have a whole lot of people registering and participating either....

Most of my traffic comes from Google search results for my trail guides. I did create another traffic funnel from YouTube. I started a YouTube Channel with my wife and that has been sending some decent traffic back to my flarum as well.

Could you add an option to not show ads to registered users?

angela044 I could, but the extension is considered bugfixes only from my point of view. I don't have enough time to justify adding new features and such to it without a very good excuse at the moment.

angela044 i have better idea, may be adding "Don't see ads" permission is good idea. Admin can disable ads for some users like Moderators, Premium Users and etc.

My prediction in future, this extension would advance, in a way that we would be able to run our own ads in discussion. Like shuffling and serving uploaded ad banners from rot dir, listening to small script html codes 😃

This update updates the extension to more effectively use Flarum 1.2 frontend infrastructure (Webpack 5), and more protections against invalid or error-prone ad Javascript from breaking your forum frontend.

Uses Webpack 5
Supports Flarum v1.2+ only
Wraps calls to eval of Ad JS code with try/catch blocks

If your ad throws an error, this will be caught by my extension and logged to the Javascript console, as seen below:

What is the recommended ad size for each of the sections? Please can someone help? My ads are appearing chop off in mobile and but OK on desktop.

What is the css selector for each of the ad unit?

I can't speak for ad sizes, but the CSS selectors are .davwheat-ad-<position name>.

For example: .davwheat-ad-between-posts or .davwheat-ad-sidebar, etc.

davwheat this is awesome. Permission works as expected.

New feature requeat: ability to hide ads from crawlers/bot

Bug in Admin page when not using adsense: if you navigate away from settings page after adding new script url, if you come back and make changes to anything else on the page and press save changes without inputing the script url again, the script url is deleted in memory.

yes I remember receiving an email 2 days ago may it was from Github, that ads unit extension was updated, lol and I first thought it was a joke hahaha. I owe you a cup of coffee man, thanks!

My budget is tight, we re-used the earning, to try google advertising 😃

I'm trying to add Google Ad Manager codes using your extension. But this extension seems unsuitable. How I can integrate with Google Ad manager codes through the davwheat Ad Units extension? If we can, is there a document?
