How to set Admin?

Hi,

I am developing a new login handler which will use something like oauth. The new system will not use password but other authentication method, so the initial admin account will not be accessible after the extension turns on. My plan is to set the 1st user as admin automatically. Is there a way to set a user as admin from an extension?

Another quick question, how to determine if the user is the 1st user in the system?

bloodchen there are several ways:

User::find(1), but if the first user was deleted/recreated the database Auto Increment will have changed.
User::oldest()->first() sorts based on created_at and then picks the first.

Great. May I ask where can I find information like User::find(1) ? It's not on https://api.docs.flarum.org/php/master/flarum/user/user .

bloodchen the find method is part of the Eloquent Models from Laravel which we use in Flarum. Our own phpdoc generator might not pick up all of the magic method from Laravel unfortunately.
